King Arthur
Arthur Pendragon, also designated The Once and Future King, is a mythical figure from the medieval literary tradition known as the Matter of Britain. According to Welsh sources, Arthur was a leader of the Britons who fought against the Anglo-Saxon invaders of Britain in the late 5th and early 6th centuries. In legend, he is married to Queen Guinevere and leads the Knights of the Round Table in bringing justice and goodwill to the kingdom with the help and wise counsel of the wizard, Merlin.
