Queen Guinevere
Throughout Arthurian legend, Guinevere is the wife of King Arthur. In early iterations, she was a prime example of the damsel in distress archetype until later stories made her the lover of one of Arthur's knights, Lancelot. Some stories see her burned at the stake for her treachery, while others have her repent and live out her days in a convent after Arthur's death. In classic literature, Guinevere is given few words on the page; we long for a retelling to bring her character depth and dynamism.
