Inari
In Japanese mythology, Inari is considered the god or goddess of prosperity and agriculture, especially rice and tea. Inari may also be the most popular kami in all of Japan as more than 1/3 of all Shinto shrines across the country are dedicated to her. Traditionally, foxes or kitsune were her messengers; in modern interpretation, many people believe the goddess herself takes the form of a fox. This blend of sencha and rice, also called genmaicha, is the perfect offering to honor Inari.
