Cupid
Cupid is the Roman god of desire and love in all its varieties. He is typically portrayed as the son of Venus and Mars, though stories swap Mars for his half-brother Mercury. Cupid is often depicted as winged carrying a bow and arrow that he uses to inspire love or passion in his every victim. In myths, Cupid is a minor character who serves mostly to set the plot in motion. He takes center role in the tale of Cupid and Psyche, when wounded by his own weapons, he experiences the ordeal of love.
